Songs By Dishong is the performance duo of Mark and Laura Dishong. As partners in life and art, they have been making beautiful music together ever since they met during their undergraduate work at Susquehanna University. They now apply their skills of Music and Performance to many venues.

Laura Dishong recently finished a year-long stint as a harpist at Caesars Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. She now teaches general music for the Moorestown School District. She delighted diners as the harpist at Caffe La Bella in Moorestown, NJ for over seven years. She runs a private harp studio and is the proud mother of a future harpist, two-year-old Eleanor Dishong.

Mark Dishong has been playing piano since age seven, and to our pleasure has been tickling the ivories ever since. Mark teaches general music at Kirby's Mill Elementary School in Medford, NJ. He is also the organist and choir director at Holy Communion Lutheran Church, in Berlin, NJ. Mark is an experienced musical arranger, and has created arrangements with his wife, Laura for their musc revue Play Me The Music! He teaches piano skills to students of all ages in his private studio.

For the past fifteen years, Mark and Laura have been performing all over the Eastern United States. Laura played for the 2002 Philadelphia Flower Show. Some other highlights from Philadelphia include the Kimmel Center, The Academy of Music, Glen Foerd, Penn Rhyn, and Lemon Hill Mansions, The Japanese Tea House, The Downtown Club, The Four Seasons Hotel, and the Old Pine Street Church. In New Jersey, they've played at The Mansion, Braddock's Tavern, Garden State Race Track, The Ocean City Tabernacle, Caesars, Claridge, Harrah's, Resorts, and Showboat casinos, Seaview Resort and Smithville Mansion. They;ve also played venues in Canada, Ireland, and France.

Mark and Laura enjoy making music, and they are available for performances either together or individually. They are versatile musicians, and can adapt to all kinds of performance styles and situations. They are happy to bring their instruments, which are perfect for intimate gatherings, to your performance site. For larger crowds, they can supply a P/A and amplification system. Laura specializes in Celtic Harp, Pedal harp, and Vocals, while Mark prefers Piano, Organ, and Vocals. A flute and harp duo is also available.
